Erasmus Mundus Scholarships

Students who wish to apply for Erasmus Mundus scholarships within the CWCN Masters programme must apply from 14th November 2018 to 15th February 2019

Erasmus Mundus scholarships depend mainly on student category:

1-      Programme country students: “students whose nationality is one of the Erasmus+ Programme Countries count as Programme Country students."
The programme countries are the one as defined in the Erasmus+ programme guide (Page 21)

2-       Partner country students: “students whose nationality is one of the Erasmus+ Partner Countries and are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any Programme Country are considered as Partner Country students.”
The partner countries are the one as defined in the Erasmus+ programme guide (Pages 21-22-23)

 

      And the place of residence of the student:

1- Resident of a programme country: the programme countries are the one as defined in the Erasmus+ programme guide (Page 21)

2- Resident of a partner country: the partner countries are the one as defined in the Erasmus+ programme guide (Pages 21-22-23)
 

According to the rules in the Erasmus+ programme guide, Erasmus Mundus scholarships consist of:

-          Contribution to the participation costs (according to the student category) – deducted from the scholarship  (7.000 EUR for partner countries students per year or 3.500 EUR for programme countries students per year). It covers registration to the programme, to the Universities, the insurance (health, travel, liability), the issue of the diplomas.

-          Contribution to travel and installation costs: (according to the residence of the scholarship holder regardless of the category under which the student has been enrolled)

o   1000 EUR per year per scholarship holder RESIDENT of a Programme Country for travel costs;

o   2000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1.000 EUR for installation costs for scholarship holder RESIDENT of a Partner country whose location is situated at less than 4.000km from the EMMC coordinating HEI (The University of Perpignan Via Domitia - City: Perpignan - Country: France);

o    3000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1.000 EUR for installation costs for a scholarship holder RESIDENT of a Partner country whose location is situated at 4.000 km from the EMMC coordinating HEI (Université de Perpignan Via Domitia - City: Perpignan - Country: France);

N.B: for resident of a Partner country, the consortium will use the official distance calculator of the European Commission

-          Contribution to subsistence costs: 1.000 EUR a month during 24 months - Contibution to subsistence costs must not be given to: scholarship holders for the EMMC periods (study/research/thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence and to scholarship holders from a Partner country for the EMMC periods exceeding three months (indicatively the equivalent of 15 ECTS credits) spent in any Partner country.

 

Students can apply for an EMJMD scholarship to any of the Erasmus+ Erasmus Mundus courses/programme of their choice (see the EMJMD catalogue website) but for a given academic year, the number of applications must be limited to maximum three different joint programmes.
 

Fees


Students applying without Erasmus Mundus schoalrship can apply from 10th November 2018 to 15th May 2019

 

  • Fees for programme country students: 3,500€ a year (7,000€ for the entire programme);
  • Fees for partner country students: 7,000€ a year (14,000€ for the entire programme).

The fees cover registration & tuition fees in all the Universities, as well as the insurance of the student and the issue of the diplomas.
The fees do not cover:
- accommodation costs;
- extra fees (sport, photocopies...);
- travel and installation costs.

Other funding opportunities

 Other funding opportunities are proposed by the partner Universities of the programme, but also by independent organisations. Please note that those funding opportunities are not run by the Erasmus Mundus Masters programme.
